The Kamunikat.org Belarusian Internet Library stands as the largest online resource of Belarusian publications worldwide. Its holdings encompass nearly 60,000 diverse materials, including books, audiobooks, newspapers, magazines, videos, and more. The guiding principle is to aggregate in one platform all content published in Belarusian or related to Belarus in other languages.
The primary objective is to enhance the visibility and accessibility of Belarusian literature for local audiences and the global community alike.
The archive of Belarusian press editions from both within Belarus and the diaspora—covering Germany, the United Kingdom, France, the USA, Canada—as well as publications by Belarusian ethnic minorities in Poland and Lithuania, is continuously being digitized. These periodicals are made available through the Periodicals section of the website.
In addition, the platform features recordings of contemporary Belarusian authors' audiobooks. Collaborating with the International Union of Belarusian Writers and performing recordings with actors from the Kupala Theatre (free performers), we have produced editions such as Svetlana Alexievich’s "Voices of Utopia"—a five-volume work that earned her the Nobel Prize in Literature, making her the first Belarusian laureate in history. We have also recorded works by Larisa Geniush, Vladimir Arlous, Andrey Fedarenka, Barys Piatrovich, Ales Arkush, Artur Klinau, Valery Gapeev, and other prominent modern writers. These recordings are openly accessible on our YouTube channel, which we highly recommend subscribing to.
Since 2021, we have also been actively involved in publishing. To date, we have released over twenty printed titles primarily distributed at book fairs during various events organized by the Belarusian diaspora, at author meetings, and through online sales. Our roster includes some of the most renowned contemporary Belarusian authors such as Vladimir Nikaleyev, Vladimir Arlou, Andrey Kadanovich, Valentina Akzak, Hanna Yankuta, Oleg Minkina, among others. Additionally, we published a comprehensive memorial book titled "(Un)Executed," dedicated to Belarusian writers who were executed by Soviet authorities in 1937.
Our presence extends to major book fairs in Poland and Lithuania. We have organized presentations and author events across Poland, Lithuania, Germany, and Italy. These gatherings consistently serve as opportunities for engaging with the Belarusian diaspora and compatriots who left their homeland involuntarily.
